Yes - Your DJ will act as an MC during your event. This is one of our services we offer that is key to the success of your function. Your DJ will make all announcements and make sure that the night stays on track according to your timeline.

We also offer online planning tools that will allow you to communicate the details of your event. When the form is received, we will meet with you in person to make sure we fully understand your unique needs.  Our attention to details allows us to make sure nothing is missed and that your entertainment is performed to perfection.

 

What types of equipment do you use?

StatiX Entertainment uses the latest in club style lighting and sound equipment. Our digital music library has a wide selection of high quality music to choose from with all types of music genres. In addition, we can also provide wireless microphones, uplighting, 55" monitors and a video projector.

 

Do you provide music and equipment for wedding ceremonies?

Yes - We can provide music for your Wedding Ceremony. Your DJ can play all your wedding music as well as provide wireless microphones to be used by you and your officiant so your guests won't miss a single moment. We offer a second sound system for your wedding ceremony which allows us to transition quickly from the ceremony to the reception.

 

How long will our DJ play music?

The amount of time your DJ will play is totally up to you. Typically wedding entertainment lasts about four hours. You can decide in advance how long you want your DJ to perform and the price will reflect the time frame. If you are having fun and want the DJ to play longer you can purchase additional time the day of the event.

 

How early will our DJ arrive to set up?

Your DJ will arrive one hour prior to the scheduled start time of your event unless other arrangements have been made. It typically takes about forty-five minutes to set up so this allows us to be set up before guests arrive.

 

What is your Wedding DJ coverage area?

We are located in Owensboro, Kentucky and will travel to all surrounding areas in a 40 mile radius.

 

Can we pick what music to play?

Yes - You can pick whatever songs you want to hear. After you book with us, we will send you an online Music Request Form to fill out. This is good because it not only gives us great songs to play but also an idea of your musical tastes. We print the requests and bring them with us and play them.

 

Will our DJ take guest requests?

Absolutely! We’ll work with you prior to your event to determine the specific styles and individual requests that you’d like played. We’ll also encourage your guests to make requests (if you approve) to make sure we play the songs that you and your guests want to dance to.

 

How do you price your DJ services?

Every event we play is unique so we create packages to reflect the unique needs of each function. Prices vary depending on different factors including the event date, location, duration and the type of equipment we bring. How do you handle overtime?

If you are having fun and want your Wedding DJ to play longer, we would love to continue our performance. You can purchase additional time by paying overtime at the beginning of the hour. All overtime is purchased on an hourly basis and the cost for overtime is outlined in your contract. Overtime must be payed via cash or check prior to the DJ continuing their performance.

 

Do you provide a written contract?

It is extremely important to have your booking confirmed in writing. We will provide you with a written contract outlining the terms of your service. We will sign the contract and send you a copy to retain for your records. It is important to have a contract to guarantee your DJ services. I would never suggest booking any DJ service with out a written contract.

 

Will you be available to answer DJ questions prior to our Wedding?

Yes. We will meet with you in advance in person to discuss the details of your wedding entertainment. In addition, you can call us at anytime, as many times as you'd like with any additional questions prior to your wedding date. We are always available.

 

What type of music do you play?

We have a wide verity of music to choose from with all types of music genres including Bluegrass, Country, Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, Reggae, House and Top 40's from all decades, so there is something for all age groups. Your DJ will discuss with you in advance on what types of music you want played during your wedding and we will play only that.

 

What types of  music do you play during dinner and cocktail hour?

We have a wide selection of cocktail and dinner music in our music library. We can discuss in advance what types of music you want us to play during this time. We typically suggest something low key such as Jazz or Classical Music played at low volume so your guests can socialize during this time. It 's your event so just let us know what you want us to play and we will play it.

 

How does the DJ dress for a formal event?

You choose the DJ attire in advance and they will wear it. If it's a formal event, they will typically wear a black or white dress shirt, formal black vest, black pants and a tie. We believe it is important for the DJ to look professional during the event. If the event is less formal they will dress accordingly.

 

Can you provide wireless microphones for the wedding ceremony, toasts etc?

Yes. We can provide up to two wireless microphones to be used during the ceremony and reception. We also have one wired microphone that we keep as a back up.

 

Do you have backups for all your equipment?

StatiX Entertainment has the latest in Mobile Wedding DJ equipment. Our equipment is extremely reliable. We believe it is very important to plan ahead incase equipment does go out. We do have a full backup plan for each piece of equipment incase something does go wrong so we can play your wedding without fail. Ths includes a backup music library that will contain all of your special songs and wedding favorites.

 

How do you handle overtime?

If you are having fun and decide at your event that you need us to stay longer and play music, you are charged a rate per each extra hour. That rate will be defined on the contract. This payment must be paid upfront before the overtime will begin.

 

How do we book the DJ service?

Call, text or fill out our online Contact Form so we can discuss your entertainment needs. We will then put together an entertainment package for you that includes pricing. Once you approve your package, we can then setup an appointment to meet up and go over your wedding and the contract. We ask that you bring a $100 for the deposit so we can save the date for you and you won't have to pay the rest until the day of the event. We book on a first come first serve basis.

 

How do we pay for the services?

We currently accept checks, cash and PayPal. Please make all checks payable to StatiX Entertainment.

 

How far in advance do we need to book?

Wedding DJs are typically booked as far as a year in advance. So we recommend booking your DJ as early as possible. Some last minute bookings may still be available as much as a few weeks ahead of time. It all depends on the dates. Typically our busiest months for weddings are April - October.

 

Do you charge for mileage or set up?

The custom price given includes travel, set up and tear down. Our pricing is inclusive of travel.
